Just had the tasting menu, such a good deal for $30!!!! It was so delicious and I just came back from Thailand in February so I felt it was very authentic. Staff was super sweet too. I’m so full and I have leftovers 😊😊
Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Service was great and the amount of food for the price was unreal. Only downside was the fish tank. It looked absolutely disgusting and I felt bad for the fish in there. Clean the damn thing, it’s gross ya’ll!
A friend recommended this place. I had never heard of the place even though I lived a few blocks away. I would definitely recommend this place if you in the mood to try something different than the run of the mill thai place. I highly recommend you make a reservation and view their website to see what the style is for that day ( vegetarian or what meats are served ). It is a price fix menu. Go hungry.
Incredible authentic Thai food. You don't pick what you want, it's a fixed price and you get what they bring you (if you're a picky eater, this may not be the place for you). If you love Thai food, this is a fantastic spot! I live about 3 hours from D.C. and ate there twice within a month. Atmosphere is cozy and eclectic.
Wowowowow! This has to be one of the best and most authentic Thai places in DC! Everything is served on banana leaves it's so cute! The Tom Yum Soup is the best I've ever had here in the States and I devoured the whole thing the moment it was served. The pumpkin curry and the dessert and panang beef are also very tasty. All this for $30 Prix fixe menu per person- it's def worth it! 100% recommend
Reservations are a must!! This is a wonderful date night spot!! The menu rotates per day and the dishes vary so you'll never know what you're getting till you sit down to eat. They do cater to allergies and food restrictions. We went during their Friday meat, vegetables, and fish night. The service was spectacular and the food was out of this world.
Preset menu serving a wide range of Thai food. Our meal had three appetizers, three entrees and dessert. The service was was almost to the point they were rushing us. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes. We brought our own bottle of wine. Their corking fee is $5. The food was good but left something to be desired. Nothing memorable but would go back on a week night.
Recommended by a friend. Hard to believe we lived 5 blocks away for 3 years and never visited. Go hungry as you will have to loosen the belt a few notches when you leave. Check their website as the food changes everyday. Price fix, chefs choice but the website will at least clue you on to types of food to expect. Great place for vegetarians.
We did an early vegetarian dinner before a show. Hands down one of the best meals I've ever had. Will definitely return. The chef made a point to come out and ask us how we liked it as we left, and he seemed to sincerely want feedback and not just praise. That endeared me to him and his restaurant even more.
The fixed price multi course dinner here was delicious. The food was well prepared and very filling. With multiple courses there was something for everyone. We ended up going home with leftovers because we plateaued just before the entre. The cocktails were decent, however we opted after a round to stay with a tasty house rose. Service was excellent and very accommodating. I highly recommend this place...while obviously a bit more expensive then most Thia places in the district the quality is well worth the price.
Unique ambiance in a former row house. BYOB with just a $5 corkage fee and also affordable wines on the menu. The food was incredible - our favorites were the chicken thighs and the pumpkin curry.
Make a reservation. This place is small and busy and no guarantee that you can get in without one. The food is outstanding! We had the set menu (fixed price) which was an amazing variety of flavors and textures. The Pad Thai was the best I have had in a vary long time, not the same as the overly sweet mostly flavorless kind I find at other Thai restaurants. This one used actual tamarind. The green curry salmon melted in my mouth. Seems like it was poached in a coconut milk broth. Yum! We also had Larb, which was limey, spicy and perfect. Our dessert was magi with sweet rice. The rice was purple, spiced like no other sweet rice I’ve tasted. Full of flavor. And the mango and berries were wonderfully ripe and it all just felt like heaven in your mouth. I’ve eaten a lot of Thai cuisine. This is one of the best places in the US for Thai food. Don’t miss this place.
This is an adorable little Thai restaurant, very romantic yet casual. The space is tiny, so reservations should be made in advance (although my friends and I were able to sneak in at the last minute on a Tuesday night). Tiny yet authentic menu. No Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles. When I went last night, there were only two types of curries. But damn man it was delicious. Good wine too. Due to the small space I’m not sure if I would recommend it for a large party (5 or above).
From the appetizer to the main courses to the final dessert, every dish was absolutely delicious -- spicy, flavorful, and tender! The restaurant ambiance is cozy, eclectic, and quite unique. Enjoyed a lovely dinner with a party of 5 and we had a wonderful time. Please note: If you are going with a group of more than 5, there is an extra surcharge per person for the prix fixe menu. Rating 4 stars because I am not sure if the food quality and quantity was worth the combined price per person + the extra surcharge.
The restaurant had been so hyped but just didn't deliver. Between the price point and the hype, it was a little bit of a let down. Food wasn't bad but not a must try
